Newcastle School for Boys is a new and exciting school formed as a result of the merger between two prestigious and successful preparatory schools. The aim of Newcastle School for Boys is to offer a dynamic learning environment providing educational excellence for boys up to the age of 18. [The increase in age range will be achieved by 2010.] The school will foster the key qualities of independence, imagination and individuality through a combination of small classes, a focus on key skills, high quality learning and teaching, an extensive curriculum enrichment programme and state of the art facilities, including interactive technology in all classrooms.
The boys will be educated in a safe and happy environment with an emphasis on high quality pastoral care, support for learners of all abilities and teaching strategies which focus on the genuine needs of individual boys. It is our aim to foster in all our boys a genuine love of lifelong learning producing reflective, resourceful, confident, disciplined young people who will make the most of their talents and abilities. The extensive curriculum enrichment programme will provide all the boys with the opportunities to extend and enhance their experiences. Sport, performance arts, expressive arts, team building, problem-solving, puzzle days, challenge days, residential visits, international links, community service and business links are just a few of the activities that will add further to the accomplishments and achievements of the boys.
