On Thursday 4th February, both Reception classes visited Fulwell Windmill in Sunderland. At nine o'clock the boys set off full of excitement. Upon their arrival at the windmill they were greeted by George and Ken who took them inside the windmill for a guided tour. The boys went up some of the stairs to see the inside workings of a windmill and then went into the school room to make flour, each boy having their own turn at turning the millstone. On the way back to school the boys looked out for the wind turbines at Washington. The boys returned to school with tales of their adventures for a packed lunch.
