The Senior School is situated on The Grove in Gosforth and boys join from the age of 11 from a range of backgrounds and schools. We pride ourselves on treating each boy as an individual; developing them to achieve the best possible standards of academic excellence and personal character. The inclusive and friendly community makes for the perfect environment for strong bonds of friendship to be formed, as well as the perfect springboard for future careers and rewarding lives.

Newcastle School for Boys is well regarded for its academic attainment and for its record of getting students into their university of choice at the end of their school career. Academic success is at the heart of what we offer, and the broad and wide-ranging curriculum provides something to stimulate and challenge every boy at the school.

In addition, a wide range of co-curricular and personal development opportunities are offered to allow the boys chances to develop talents in all areas. This is underpinned by excellent pastoral care and strong core values, a healthy sense of competition and peer support through the house system. Whatever the talent or interest, there is something for everyone ranging from the Academic Society to music ensembles, electric car club to the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

At Newcastle School for Boys, we are united in our passion for learning, education and a central aim to produce young men of excellent character. Come and visit us yourselves and experience what have to offer!
