Welcome to Newcastle School for Boys Junior School.  Our school, right in the heart of Gosforth, has high expectations of all our boys and we pride ourselves on enabling all of our boys to fulfil their true potential; in the classroom, in sport and in music.

Newcastle School for Boys is a small, caring school with a nurturing family environment.  Dedicated staff know all of the boys; not just their names but who they aspire to be.  The boys are challenged by passionate teachers who care about each individual boy and their adventures in learning.  Catering only for boys, we can offer an education that is tailored to the boys’ individual learning style.

We like the boys to embrace all aspects of school life and a packed co-curricular programme has a club for all tastes, interests and talents.

While the website can provide an overview of life at the school, I would be delighted to show you a true taste of life at NSB to meet the staff and boys.  You will find confident, self-assured, well-mannered boys who understand and appreciate their place in a fast-changing world, together with committed and talented teachers who provide excellent role models for them.  You can be assured a very warm welcome.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

The boys were an absolute credit to the school from the start to finish of the 3 days I was lucky enough to spend with them.  We were frequently stopped by passers-by who had been moved to congratulate us on the high standard of behaviour of the boys. - Parent
