We welcome applications throughout the year, subject to availability, with key entry points including:

How to Apply

Our school admissions process is designed to be simple, transparent and informative, ensuring families feel supported throughout their journey.

Step 1: Request Information

If you would like to learn more about The Newcastle School, you can request a prospectus or contact our admissions team. We will be happy to answer any questions and provide further information about life at the school.

Step 2: Visit the School

Attend one of our Open Days or arrange a personal visit. This is the ideal opportunity to meet staff and pupils, tour the campus and discover why families choose our independent school in Newcastle.

Step 3: Submit an Application

Complete our online application form and provide the relevant information about your child. Applications are welcomed throughout the academic year, subject to availability.

Step 4: Assessment and Taster Experience

Following receipt of your application, your child may be invited to attend an assessment and/or taster day. This enables us to get to know your child while giving them the opportunity to experience day-to-day life at The Newcastle School.

For entry into Year 7 and Year 12, applicants will be invited to our January assessment day.

Step 5: Offer of a Place

Once the assessment process has been completed, offers will be made to successful applicants. Families will receive full details regarding acceptance and next steps. 

Step 6: Joining The Newcastle School

Following acceptance of an offer, we will provide all the information needed to ensure a smooth transition into school life. While most pupils join at the start of the academic year, we also welcome in-year admissions where places are available.
