Starting the Day

The school day begins with morning registration and tutor time, providing pupils with an opportunity to connect with their form tutor, receive important updates and prepare for the day ahead.

Form tutors play a central role in school life, supporting pupils academically and pastorally throughout their Senior School journey. This daily contact helps ensure that every pupil feels known, supported and ready to learn. 

Academic Lessons

Throughout the day, pupils benefit from a broad and ambitious curriculum taught by specialist subject teachers who are experts in their fields.

As a close-knit school community, pupils of different year groups interact regularly, helping to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere throughout the school. Our staff are highly visible and approachable, ensuring pupils always feel supported during the school day. 

Lunchtimes also offer opportunities to participate in clubs, music rehearsals, academic societies and leadership activities, allowing pupils to explore interests beyond the classroom.

Sport remains an important and timetabled part of the Senior School experience, with pupils participating in high-quality PE lessons, games sessions and competitive fixtures. Our partnerships with leading regional sporting organisations provide additional opportunities for talented athletes while maintaining an inclusive approach that encourages participation from all pupils.

Form tutors, senior tutors and teaching staff work closely together to monitor pupil wellbeing, celebrate achievements and provide assistance whenever needed.
