Wrap-Around Care

Junior School Wrap-Around Care

Flexible Childcare for Busy Families

At The Newcastle School, we understand that family life does not always fit neatly within the school day. That's why we offer flexible, high-quality wrap-around care designed to support working parents while providing a safe, nurturing and enjoyable environment for our Junior School children, all at no additional cost to the school fee.

Our wrap-around provision allows families to benefit from extended childcare throughout the day, giving children additional opportunities to play, socialise and relax with friends across the Junior School in a familiar surrounding.

Before School Care

For families requiring an earlier start to the day, our breakfast club operates from 7.30am, providing a welcoming and supervised environment before lessons begin. Children are cared for by experienced staff and enjoy a calm start to their day before joining their schoolmates for morning learning activities.

Breakfast Club Benefits

  • Supervised care from 7.30am
  • Breakfast provided for all pupils
  • Safe and secure school environment
  • Opportunities to socialise with friends
  • Convenient support for working parents

After School Care Until 6.00pm

Following the school day, children can attend our after-school club, which runs until 6.00pm. Our Junior School pupils enjoy a range of activities designed to be engaging, enjoyable and relaxing after a busy day of learning.

Activities may include:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Creative play
  • Outdoor and sporting activities
  • Story time
  • Games and social activities
  • Free play with friends

Every session is carefully supervised, ensuring children feel happy, secure and supported throughout the afternoon

Wrap-Around Care and Co-Curricular Opportunities

Our wrap-around care works alongside a wide range of co-curricular opportunities. Many pupils participate in clubs and enrichment activities before joining after-school care, allowing families even greater flexibility.

This approach supports our wider commitment to helping children develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning from the very beginning of their school journey.
